To believe in God is, no doubt, one of the most important inheritances, the strongest community power, without which nations were not and would never be able to survive. Faith is based on our consciousness of nonentity of our nature, it help us to come closer to the God, it protects and saves us, and based on its progress, the progress of the nation, the culture and the civilization could be evaluated.
“Bajalice” were mentioned for the first time in the prehistoric religions, because a human has always been trying to contact unknown and mystic powers and divine souls. Being in trouble, it was believed that only a connection with divine souls like ghosts or demons could help someone to solve his or her problems and to feel better.
The Bible also called the old people from Babylon and Haldea magicians. Their prayers (“Bajanje”) were combined from special prayers in which they mention names of demons who are responsible for destiny of humans and those demons were asked to help people. The word “bajanje” came from the word “b-h-a” which means “to talk”. The one who use it has to be aware that they are helpful and powerful. The content of “bajalice” has been changed during the time. But you have always tried to find their latent sense, which is only possible when you find and understand their metaphoric meaning. That is the origin of the folk’s way of life and philosophy.
